Message from the President's Desk……

It gives me immense pleasure to be a part of the Journey of St.Gregorios Public School in the capacity of the President of St Gregorios Charitable Trust. We begin the 17th year of the establishment of St Gregorios Public School with publishing this Souvenir showcasing our strengths and achievements. St Gregorios Public School was a dream project , very close to our heart with a vision to create one of the finest educational institutes in the suburbs of Mumbai. Equipping ourselves with good infrastructure and able and resourceful teaching staff, we ensure that every student is armed with the power of knowledge, the thrill of exploring, and the passion of living. We believe that every child is perfect in His creation and it is our privilege to mould and cast them to become better citizens of the future.

The Vision is constantly being realized in concerted efforts being put into tasks that we undertake. The academic year 2017-2018 saw our first batch of SSC students coming out with flying colours having 100% results. We are starting with Junior college for Science, Commerce and Arts section affiliating to the Higher Secondary Certificate from the academic year 2019-2020.

As we endeavour into new paths, I should mention that what makes us strong and move ahead inspite of all the hurdles is the efforts of strong managing committee, the committed service of the Principal and the teaching staff and not to mention , the undying support and faith of the parents.

As I conclude , I want to reassure you that we believe in our motto “Not to be served But to serve” and we commit ourselves to carve a niche in the field of education by providing a value based learning, to guide and support students in envisaging a promising tomorrow.

St. Gregorios Public School was the brainchild of St. Gregorios Charitable Trust consisting of a group of dedicated individuals who wished to serve the society in one of the best possible ways. Knowledge is the best gift that one can give to another, thus the idea of establishing a school was highly applauded. St. Gregorios Public School might appear as an establishment of brick and mortar to an outsider but to each and every person who is a part of this institution it is a perfect blend of knowledge, service, excellence and hard work.

At this Institution we believe that “Excellence is not a skill,it is an attitude” Our students are nurtured not only academically but also in co-curricular activities. We function under the Maharashtra State Board. Our first batch of SSC students, made their Alma Mater proud by passing their examination with flying colours. Their success was like a feather to our cap.

The time and effort extended by the St. Gregorios Charitable Trust is rewarded by the excellence showcased by our students and teachers. The collaborative functioning of the Trust and the School staff is of utmost importance for the smooth flow of activities. Our vision is to strive towards the greater good by serving the society to the best of our capabilities bestowed upon us by the Almighty. Every year we attain new milestones.

Our goal is to out win ourselves, do better than we did in the previous year. Till date we have always succeeded in achieving these goals. Our hope is to keep up this journey of growth in the right path. One last piece of advice which we choose to abide by, borrowed from H. Jackson Brown Jr, “Earn your success based on service to others, not at the expense of others.”

Message from the Treasurer's Desk...

It gives me immense pleasure to announce that our school, the St Gregorios Public School is publishing its 1st souvenir for the academic year 2017-18. This takes me down memory lane, to the time when the management was hunting for a place of learning in the year 2000. I wish to pay my humble tribute to the then visionaries Fr. Jacob Joseph (Past Vicar of St. Gregorios JSO church), Mr. V. P. Stephen, Mr. P. M. Baby, Late Mr. O. A. Mathen and M. P George who were instrumental in setting up this institution with a vision to “Educate , Enlighten and Empower” through the school slogan “Via Veritas Vita”.

With a simple beginning in the year 2002 as a Kindergarten School, has expanded its wings under the able guidance of earlier Heads of School namely Sister Agnes,Mrs. Shraddha Mahesh and Mrs.Sailatha Mahesh.

As we complete 17 Years of imparting education, it was a proud moment when the first batch of 10th class students stepped out with flying colours achieving 100% result and 1st class marks. This has put our school in the map of one of the best schools in 'T' ward under the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai. Congratulations to each and every one who was instrumental in achieving this feat.

In addition to the above academic excellence, the school has given due importance to sports and other extracurricular activities, achieving a state level prize in the Karate Competition.

Our school is in the forefront of technology based learning. All class rooms are equipped with latest digital equipment for interactive learning and poised to surge ahead implementing state of the art school management system from the coming academic year, which gives immense benefits and advantages for students, teachers and parents.

Based on the academic performance achieved during these years the management has decided to start the higher secondary (HSC) school from next academic year and students who have passed from the 10th class can continue to study in the 11TH and 12TH standard.

Finally, what comes to my mind is that “Excellence is a continuous process and not an accident” as quoted by our late president and great scientist Dr. A. P. J Abdul Kalam. So, let us all pledge to strive to take this institution to greater heights of glory.
